Role play

Role play is the ideal tool to help children learn how to navigate their environment and manage their relationships – with confidence!

In "Stand Up and Act Out", role play:

1. Is age-differentiated. We’ve been working with young children for over fifteen years so our age-differentiated approach to role play is tried and tested, and even children who at first may seem reticent to join in will quickly find their voice.
   
   
2. Prepares children for the world outside of the classroom. Children ‘trial’ difficult situations in the sheltered environment of the classroom, before potentially experiencing the same (or similar) situations in real-life.   
   
   
3. Enriches language. Role play provides children with opportunities to try out new vocabulary, as well as to practice communicating their message appropriately. Hand in hand comes advanced communication skills as children also learn to be better listeners.
   
   
4. Develops social and emotional skills. Confidence, concentration, co-operation, empathy, conflict resolution, self-regulation; we can’t think of a social and emotional skill that role play does not develop.
   
   
5. Is huge amounts of  fun. Try it – you won’t disagree!
